Educational Assistant
I am from El Salvador. Since I was a little girl, I enjoyed playing to be a teacher with my siblings. I always prided myself in helping others. When I moved to Canada in 2007, I could have never imagined that I would be able to make my dream come true. It was not until I volunteered at my childrens’ school, and with the support of my family, that I knew that it was time to make my childhood game a reality; thus helping children like I have always wanted.
Although I am not a teacher, I found the closest path to this passionate career of mine, Being an EA. The language has been a barrier that I have slowly overcome and one that I continue to battle with every day.
This is my fourth year as an EA in the Foundation program, and being an Educational Assistant I know that I am in the place that makes me feel happy and fulfilled and grateful to God for the opportunity to help the learning process of the students I work with.
I really love to spend my spare time with my family watching movies, walking or hiking and talking about life experiences. Also, I enjoy sewing because I really love to create new things and/or redesign them.
