Principal's Message

All Are Welcome, All Belong! Welcome to the 2017-2018 school year at St. Teresa of Avila School! The first days of school are exciting times for our children, parents and staff alike. We wish to extend a warm welcome to all of the returning families and also a very special, heartfelt welcome to those who are new in joining the St. Teresa of Avila School community of learners.

St. Teresa of Avila School promotes a safe and caring, faith-filled environment. We are blessed to enjoy a wonderful relationship with Sacred Heart Parish under the leadership of Fr. Jozef Wroblewski, who supports and nurtures our faith journey. With the partnership of the church and parents, our goal is to help students grow and strive for excellence both academically and spiritually.

Our school has undergone many exciting renovations this summer. We have remodeled the main entrance, expanded and furnished the Learning Commons, refinished the gym floors and installed electric projection screens on the gym wall. We are eager to share this new space with your and your children. We are in the process of updating our school logo and will continue to ask for your input during the stages of rebranding.

As parents, you play an important role in your child’s development. We value a strong family/school partnership that fosters positive relationships and builds a strong learning community. Throughout the year, we welcome you to attend our school events and support us in making St. Teresa of Avila School an outstanding learning environment for your children.

Again, welcome back and thank you for being part of our St. Teresa of Avila of Avila School community.

God Bless,

Shelley Gaalaas
