Welcome to St. Teresa of Avila School!
My name is Dana Pikkert and I am thrilled to be taking on the opportunity to be the new Principal of St. Teresa for the upcoming 2023-2024 school year.
Our mission is to provide a safe and caring, Christ-filled environment where quality education for all students challenges them to achieve their dreams. Currently those dreams may consist of summer bike rides, family visits, and ice cream on a hot day as this school year has come to an end and the days invite rest and relaxation.
That being said, we are already excited about what the new year will bring! There will be many amazing moments and incredible learning opportunities happening in the upcoming year! The staff are looking forward to meeting new students and reuniting with their previous ones as well. We are blessed to work alongside Sacred Heart Parish, ensuring we are making Christ known to our students as we grow in our Catholic faith.
I am looking forward to connecting and working with you as a team to not only provide quality education for your children, but to love them unconditionally as they grow and connect with those around them. They are truly gifts from God and we are so grateful to be part of their journey with Him.

Much is shared and discussed during these meetings that help plan events for students, field trips, community and more.
